The group was born from the verses of the Moravian poet from Wallachia – Ladislav Nezdařil. In 1999, T.K.&O. released their debut album Horní chlapci with the lyrics set to music, for which Nezdařil chose the dialect of the Moravian Wallachians as the poetic language. The bandits, mountains, defiance, respect for tradition, love and death, which Nezdařil’s poetry is full of, became the thematic areas of the subsequent albums. The band spices up its music, firmly rooted in Moravian tradition, with folk inflections, rock influences and metal riffs.
