Lipo is a famous Czech rapper, poet and music video director. His first significant impact was within the Básníci před mikrofonem (BPM) project, which was awarded the Anděl Award (2009) for the album Horizonty. After the break-up of BPM, Lipo embarked on a solo career, where he continued to develop his poetic approach to music and lyrics. His first solo album, Víc než hudba (2012), was a huge success in the form of the megahit Ležím v tvé blízkosti, featuring a guest appearance by Debbi. This was followed by the more experimental O Duši (2014) and four years later Lyrika (2018). The albums include several other successful singles such as Kruhy, Štěstí and Svoboda, which to date have received over 70,000,000 views on YouTube and are often played on Czech radio.
