Join us on November 22 to light the Christmas tree at Freedom Square. A tree stood here in 1924 as the first ever public Christmas tree in this country and possibly in the whole of Central Europe. Let’s enjoy the festive evening of the 100th anniversary of this tree and the opening of Christmas Brno. As always, there is a cultural programme starting at 16:00 and you can look forward to one big surprise. The lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree will take place at 17:00 in the presence of the leaders from the municipality and diocese of Brno. Stanley’s Dixie Street Band will perform and the NdB Opera will also supplement the programme.
